3rd year of life in Tochigi has just begun!
I had never known that I would have loved living in this area this much! in this one of the least known prefectures in Japan.
Sometimes Tochigi dialect almost comes out from my mouth, and I twist my tongue and try to say it in a right way. Then I end up speaking weird Osaka dialect. Well, it's been 2 years.
However, 2 years are quite long time not being able to speak Tochigi dialect. I am not trying to learn, but how much English did I learn in 2 years in NY? hmmmm, who cares about Tochigi dialect.
The reason why I wrote the blog this time is to share my pancake story.
My recent fad is adding rum into sweets. When I want to bake something, I first think of something that can go well with rum.
This morning, I had "whole wheat and butternut squash pancake with rum" for breakfast!! dios mio! brilliant!
Butternut squash's heavy sticky texture nicely got along well with whole wheat flour that had completely opposite texture. The smell of rum was just so good.
I love Sunday morning.
